Louisa County Emergency Food Pantry provides food for individuals and families in emergency situations. Eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis. All applicants may also be screened for USDA monthly food.
Food donated by the public or local organizations is bagged at the Louisa County Emergency Food Pantry and delivered to the Community Cupboard. The Pantry bags are kept separate and given out only for emergency cases. There are about 20-25 bags distributed by the Pantry for those who are determined to be emergency recipients. Food for this program is not provided by the Central Food Bank; all food is received from charity based organizations.
The Louisa's Community Cupboard provides the intake and screenings for the Louisa County Emergency Food pantry which meets crisis needs.
Public donations are greatly needed and appreciated.
