Who Are We?
The Roanoke office of the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services (DARS) handles Disability Determination Services (DDS).  DDS handles the processing for disability claims for benefits under the Social Security Disability Insurance and Supplemental Security Income Disability Programs.

DDS makes decisions on disability based on medical criteria; medical and psychological evidence; vocational criteria; consultative evaluation; and continuing disability review.
