Navigators are federally funded assisters who are trained and certified to provide community education and outreach, as well as free, unbiased application assistance to consumers and small businesses. All navigators adhere to strict privacy and security standards. They have expertise on the new Health Insurance Marketplace (private insurance options and available financial assistance) and Virginia's public health insurance programs (Medicaid and FAMIS). Support Groups, Mental Health
Mutual support groups whose members are people who have specific social, emotional or other mental health problems. Families and friends may also be welcome. The groups meet in-person, by telephone or via the Internet; and provide an opportunity for participants to share information, practical tips for daily living and encouragement about issues related to the problem.
