Mentor Services, Youths

The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board serves youths with emotional disturbances, substance use, or developmental disability needs who will benefit from a mentor. A mentor is a trained professional personally assigned to a youth to help the child solve problems and encourage the youth to develop academic, social, emotional, vocational, athletic, and artistic skills. Mentors give families much-needed time for themselves while providing the youth with recreational and social activities.
