Low Income Rental Housing and Apartments

The Wytheville Redevelopment and Housing Authority (WRHA) offers low rental homes and apartments designed and constructed for persons with disabilities and individuals who are physically and/or mentally challenged and desire to maintain their independence.  Properties include:

• Jefferson Union is located in one of the most scenic areas in the town of Wytheville.  The complex consists of 24 units, with 12 units designed and constructed for persons with disabilities.  Section 8 Project Based Voucher Assistance is available in 16 of the 24 units for qualified individuals/families.  The complex includes 8 one (1) bedroom units and 16 two (2) bedroom units.  Amenities included are water, washer/dryer, kitchen appliances including dishwasher, and roll-in showers in units designed for persons with disabilities.  The entire complex is non-smoking.  No pets will be allowed except for service animals. 
• Cassell Pines is an 18 unit complex consisting of one and two bedroom apartments, of which five are designed and constructed for individuals who are physically and/or mentally challenged and desire to maintain their independence.  Cassell Pines is within walking distance of churches, groceries, restaurants, and retail stores.  All applicants must be income qualified.
