Who We Are

The Peninsula Foster Grandparent Program is a federally funded program for senior citizens 55 years and older to mentor, teach and counsel special needs children.  Foster Grandparents give the children the much-needed attention that can change lives.  They help children develop skills, confidence and strength to succeed in life.

The volunteer must complete and application, schedule an interview and complete orientation.  There are many benefits to being a volunteer: Tax-free stipend; monthly limited transportation reimbursement; accidental insurance; vacation & sick leave; training, speakers and workshops; and more.
